Battlefield Bad Company 2 Released - Go get it bitches! Wed Mar 3, 08:28 am MST
BFBC2 is now out and available on Steam. Lots of Liberty are enjoying this game. Beta was great and there's some solid gameplay in this game and a lot of action. It's pretty much everything good about previous battlefield games and mostly none of the bad stuff. Even the classic undesirable maps with lots of distance between points of interest and vehicle whoring are scaled back and not terrible. There's no jets owning everything with impunity and the choppers are powerful but can still be taken down fairly easily. Tracer darts make vehicles more susceptible to AV and lots of cover (initially) makes for great infantry combat. Destructible terrain makes for dynamic combat and variety. All around awesome game, check out the threads for in-game name lists.

If you check out the Penny Arcade eXpo site (PAX), you will see "Global Agenda" listed as a sponsor. PAX is held every year in downtown Seattle, where myself and a few other members happen to live. If you're thinking about going, chime in on this thread and we can have some beers, meet the HiRez team, check out all the other games there and have a fun weekend. Global Agenda CBT-1 Came and Went Thu Jul 30, 09:50 pm MST
Many of us got to try out the first beta phase of Global Agenda and it was pretty damn awesome. We're all very impressed, but unfortunately we can't say more than that due to NDAs. We might not have even been able to say it was awesome, but I don't think HiRez minds us giving them some ambiguous positive remarks. It kicked ass, and if it was any indicator the game will be a real contender. I've never seen a beta so polished and well run in any game. We look forward to helping them make it even better in future test weekends! Now the only question is...what do we do til then? Stay in top FPS shape with Unreal Tournament, Team Fortress 2, Left for Dead, Arma 2 or whatever else you can play. I've picked up video editing as a hobby now so we'll see where that goes.

Since we all often use Steam and Global Agenda is based in Steam, having a steam community makes it much easier for us to keep track of each other. I've already sent out invites to everyone I know on the list and I'll set up a few officers for inviting others in as well.

I finally got around to finishing the Liberty Logo project, which we started a year ago and hired one of our member's designer friends to create. The reason for the delay has truly been laziness on my part. But thanks to my girlfriends talents it has been finished. The iconography is a phoenix, gold and blue representing our colors. The design is intended to be simplistic, sort of like a corporate logo, nothing too detailed, something that you might see as a unit patch in the military or stenciled on the side of a tank. I think it achieves that goal. The original design has been slightly tweaked to taste. Global Agenda Beta Invites have Started Wed Jul 8, 12:21 pm MST
Beta invites have gone out and will continue to go out over the next few weeks for the first round of closed beta testing. Official contest winners were sent their invites today. In the coming days more invites will be sent out, so be patient. The Beta does not start until July 24th, with many days of inviting between now and then.
